They sell tea sets like this all the time nearby where I work. Since we often have tea, I thought a tea set would be perfect. [ And it's so cute? THERE'S JUST ONE LAST THING... ] The designs are plum blossoms.

[ Even if he's curious as to HOW his leg broke...he would have probably told him if he saw fit. He won't ask in any case, looking around the immediate room a little curiously at all the new things he has littered about. Tsurumaru certainly spared no expense!

[ He's sure he heard that right, didn't he? Mikazuki is all sparkly eyed now as he looks at the vice-captain...it was a surprise but he's glad he had the foresight to bring a gift! Mikazuki very boldly leans over to grasp Hijikata's hands in his own and gives them a squeeze. Though he won't make guesses at how old Hijikata must be now -- he'll happily celebrate another year since his birth. It seems like humans have too few birthdays to him so things like this should be happily celebrated. ] Happy birthday! I had no idea...did you not intend to celebrate it, Hijikkun?

but once he unwraps the present to reveal the tea set - he's surprised! it's a very nice tea set too, he has to admit.
