Hijiiikkun, are you home? [ That's a joke since Mikazuki KNOWS he is...he doesn't really know how he managed to break his leg but he got the "dickbutt" picture text from Tsurumaru not too long ago. Mikazuki may not have gotten it but he saved it none the less, it was from Tsuru!
ANYWAY! Knock, knock before the old sword just lets himself in...like usual. ] Hijikkuuun, it's me, Mikazuki! Ah wait...you can't even walk up to greet me, can you? Rather you shouldn't trying to be walking around with a broken leg. I assume you'd be in your room, right? [ Yes. Which is why there's the sudden SLAM as the door is opened and there is Mikazuki in the doorway. He's carrying something in one of his arms...mysterious. ]
Oh, I do hope you weren't napping...aha, good morning if that's the case.
Hm? Hm? There's no need to offer, I had some before I came over.
[ And he's just going to shuffle over and set his mystery box on the nearby desk. Mikazuki is all smiles as per usual, even while digging through his kimono sleeve and pulling out a blue marker! He's already uncapped it before Hijikata can ask "why" and is scooting over to the bed as quickly as he can... ] I heard that you can sign casts so I thought I should come by and do so!
May I? [ DESPITE ASKING, Mikazuki is leaning over the cast with blue marker at the ready. He's looking at the vice-captain with big 'ol moon filled eyes...how can he say no!!! ]
[ what is that mystery box... Hijikata definitely watches Mikazuki put it down... much curiosity is in his eyes! what could it be???
but then he directs his attention to what Mikazuki is going to do instead - with the marker, so he doesn't ask yet. ]

[ he can only let out a sigh in disbelief. well, Mikazuki is like that so he can't really be surprised. but he has to admit, he's pretty glad Mikazuki decided to visit though... he's awfully bored. ]
It seems like a childish thing to do... But why not. [ Tsurumaru already DEFILED his cast, so. ]
That's one reason... [ The other is in the box but that's for after the cast signing.
-- To which the Sanjou sword is already attending to. There's the squeak of his marker as he draws something then several more squeaks as he signs it. His signature looks much like elegant calligraphy cursive and not to mention that it takes a big part of what Tsurumaru hasn't taken up on the cast. There's a cute little crescent moon just above his writing too. ] Finished. Aha, it looks good even without a brush if I do say so myself.
Now then. [ Popping the cap top back on and hiding his marker away in his sleeve again, Mikazuki sits neatly by the desk again with his box now in his lap. It's wrapped beautifully of course, with a big gold ribbon tying it together. ] It's a gift for the injured vice-captain. Will you accept it?
[ if there's one thing Mikazuki is good at is writing? well, Mikazuki is overall very elegant... so at least his hand writing matches it! Hijikata is definitely impressed - as someone who takes neat handwriting very seriously. ]
It looks really hard to write on this, so I'm impressed.
[ but now he's staring at this box... well, he doesn't like accepting gifts, especially after all the ones he received from a mini-birthday party.
but... ] I have no choice though, do I? [ Mikazuki definitely seems like the kind to insist on Hijikata to take it. also, it'd be rude anyway since he came all his way here. ]
I'll accept it. [ does that mean he should open it now? should he wait? no, maybe Mikazuki wants to watch? and stay around and chat??? all these questions... he'll start opening the gift very carefully! ]

They sell tea sets like this all the time nearby where I work. Since we often have tea, I thought a tea set would be perfect. [ And it's so cute? THERE'S JUST ONE LAST THING... ] The designs are plum blossoms.

Ah, but he's so starstruck now. Seeing the "demon" vice-captain of the Shinsengumi give the tiniest but still visible enough of a smile makes the old sword want to take a picture of it. Aha, I would appreciate that. The cups are begging to be used, I'm sure. [ Yes...tea time for old men has become a habit for them and Mikazuki couldn't be more glad that it has. Tea is always good but tea with company for him, is especially good.

[ Even if he's curious as to HOW his leg broke...he would have probably told him if he saw fit. He won't ask in any case, looking around the immediate room a little curiously at all the new things he has littered about. Tsurumaru certainly spared no expense!

Though he won't make guesses at how old Hijikata must be now -- he'll happily celebrate another year since his birth. It seems like humans have too few birthdays to him so things like this should be happily celebrated. ] Happy birthday! I had no idea...did you not intend to celebrate it, Hijikkun?
